I’m an executive coach - having brought coaching into the country in 1988 as a formal profession. I’m the Vice President of the S.A. Council of Coaches and Mentors, the official accrediting, registration and professional standard regulating body for professional Coaches and Mentors in Sub Saharan Africa. This body represents over 4000 coaches and mentors at five membership levels. She oversees corporate coaching and mentoring programmes at executive and management level. She herself consults to top organizations at executive level Her clients include De Beers, Sasol, Liberty Life, Eskom, Toyota, Volkswagen, Barclays Bank, FNB, Anglo American, Rand Merchant, Johnnic, S.A Breweries, and Rand Refineries.
I’m a socio-political scientist by previous profession. My qualifications include an advanced post graduate education in Political Science, International Law, International Relations, Psychology, Economic development, Political science, Communications and English Literature. I’ve lectured on corporate communications to MBA students at the University of Stellenbosch and De Montfort (Leicester) University and was responsible for the B.A and B.A. Hons. Communication Studies at the Jewish University and lectured at both undergraduate and post graduate level, specialising in political communication and film analysis. Academic institutes and the mass media considerer me as a national authority on non verbal communication (on which she completed her doctorate).
I’ve also been the casting judge of a Business Woman of the Year Award and the Secretary of the Year award (4 years) and has helped to determine the criteria for both selection and award of both events. I was the founder of Women for Justice and has served on it’s board from inception. The organisation has been involved in the national upliftment and protection of women’s rights for women for 18 years. My special interests lie in women’s development and leadership and I have given talks to more than 70,000 women in 20 countries, on self empowerment and gender based legal, emotional, financial and careers issues.
In France I served on an international panel evaluating the personalities, drives and characters of the world’s richest business women (dollar billionaires) and presented on her findings to an international convention in Nice. This analysis provided insights into women’s failures or successes at top level.
I’m a seasoned editor and writer having published extensively. I consult to members of the top 100 companies on corporate communication and image.
