What is your background?
I qualified with BCom(honours) accounting- top student, cum laude and BCom(honours) Financial Analysis and Portfolio Management- top student, cum laude. I used to lecture accounting and financial analysis in Alexandria University in which I was selected as the best teaching-talented lecturer for three successive years. Currently, I work as a research analyst and modeler at RE•CM. I am a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). In addition, I am a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) level II candidate. On top, I am a regular financial trainer.
What are you passionate about?
In two words: “Value Add”.
What makes you unique?
I think that there are 5 basic qualities that an exceptional trainer should possess:
1-Logic:
While presenting, I never make a statement that isn't an explanation of the previous or a link to the next. In this, “easier said than done”-way, I manage to keep my audience attentive for hours.
One comment I received from a delegate who attended one of my seminars recently was: “Hamed is extremely effective in conveying information & making sure that it is absorbed! He grabbed my attention from the beginning and held it all the way until the very end- remarkable given the duration of the session”
2-Stories:
Stories make dry concepts juicy enough to absorb. People tend to remember concepts through stories, not formulas.
3-Entertainer:
Being a logical presenter with tons of stories in your mind is not enough. If your voice is hardly heard, your body is static or you are generally a boring person, the odds are high that you will lose the attention of some or all of your audience within minutes of your start. I manage my above-average voice tone, non-verbal motions and humor very effectively.
Another comment I got from an attendee was:
“Hamed is an excellent presenter. He captivated his audience not just with "comedy & gimmicks", but with pure technical skill also. Great combination.”
4-Caring:
I never set assumptions about the level of knowledge of my audience. I always start from the bottom roots and move up quickly to the core concepts. That is the only way to ensure that EVERY one is standing on solid ground.
5- Preparing, preparing, preparing:
As a trainer, there is nothing worse than standing in front of a group explaining a concept then stopping in the middle of the way confused about a point then starting to mmmmm, rrrrrr, shshshshs, bbbb..
A delegate commented:
“Thank you for the course, it is undoubtedly the best course I have been on (and I have been on a few). Your presentation of the material was excellent and your knowledge excellent."
