Otto is the founder member and CEO of Iskhus Power (Pty) Ltd. He has been involved in a large variety of projects ranging from financial, product development and customer service issues especially in the last 11 years of private consulting.
Through the establishment and expansion of Iskhus Power (Pty) Ltd he has developed a clear understanding of customers needs relating to energy pricing and efficiency. This understanding facilitated the development of an energy procurement value chain model. Through this model various turnkey solutions for large customers have been developed and successfully implemented.
He has strong analytical skills and is one of the leading pricing specialists and analysts in South Africa. He has designed various national electricity tariffs and various municipal tariffs. Otto also has extensive techno-economic modeling experiences where he has simulated the techno-economic implications of energy cost on various customers operations.
Additionally he has conducted studies for large customers on the energy consumption patterns and formulated strategies for them on how to manage and benefit from the changes in the Electricity Supply Industry.
His managerial and organisational skills have facilitated the development of Iskhus Power (Pty) Ltd from a one-man consultancy in 1998 into a company currently employing 38 people. This was a huge challenge for his strategic skills and vision.
He has visited various European and African countries (UK, France, Belguim, Switserland, Netherlands and Germany) to obtain broader experience related to energy service in a non-regulated industry.
