Dr John W. Hendrikse completed his B.Com at U.C.T. and did his articles with Ernst and Young. He left the profession and has since worked for Tollgate Holdings Group, C.I.W (Pty) Ltd and Dura Construction Group.
In 1979 he graduated from the MBA programme at the Stellenbosch Graduate School with a cum laude. For his brilliant achievement he was awarded the Old Mutual Gold Medal by Old Mutual.
He joined the executive team of Earlybird Farm (Pty) Ltd and remained there for five years before deciding to branch out on his own. He founded PROGRO CONSULTANCY GROUP CC in 1984 – who became the Franchisor of over 10 franchises.
In April 1995 he obtained his Ph.D. from Greenwich University. In October 2000 he and his wife, Advocate Leigh Hendrikse, formed CAPTAX CC and GENESIS CORPORATE SERVICES CC. John and Leigh are also the joint authors of The Valuations Handbook published by Lexis Nexis and Business Governance Handbook – Principles and Practices, published by Juta.
Over the last 20 years, Dr Hendrikse has consulted to over 500 SMES on business performance strategies and has been empowering audiences in his capacity as a professional speaker in the area of entrepreneurship, business strategy, valuations and corporate governance.
