The three day Masterclass in Entrepreneurship in Biotech is an interactive course focused on how to set up a biotech company from scratch, exploring the do's and don'ts, drawing on a combination of real-life, personal experience and case studies.

Meet your instructor

Dr Simon Bennett is an independent consultant and registered Growth Coach with over twenty years of industry experience. He mentors and advises early-stage businesses and management teams, and has senior management experience from start-up through to IPO and trade sale, with responsibilities covering all aspects of business and corporate development. His experience spans bio-pharma, biotech, genomics and specialty pharma, as well as web 2.0.
Simon currently manages a portfolio of around ten companies and is a board director of MitoDys Therapeutics and Xobaderm, until its recent acquisition by FTSE 100 Informa plc, was a non-executive director of colwiz. He is currently advising and providing business development support to several companies, including Bristol-Myers Squibb, Oxford Pharmacience, Beijing Tide Pharma and Xobaderm. He has been involved in over 70 commercial deals globally, with both Big Pharma and biotech companies. Simon is a trainer and runs a series of basic and advanced courses in Bio-Pharma Business Development, Biotech Deal Negotiating and Bio-entrepreneurship in Europe, North America, Russia/CIS, Latin America, Middle East and Asia.
